TLC Participants Announced
Eleven Victorian organisations have been selected to participate in what is believed to be Australia’s first Lived and Living Experience Workforce (LLEW) learning collaborative.
The organisations, from across Victoria’s mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) sectors, form the first cohort of The Learning Collaborative (TLC).
This groundbreaking workforce development project will facilitate mentoring, co-learning and mutual support, and assist with policies, processes, and cultural change over 12 months.
TLC is being delivered by Lived and Living Experience at Heart, or LLEAH, an organisational support program for Victoria’s mental health and AOD sectors launched in November 2024.
LLEAH is led by SHARC in partnership with the Department of Health, Yale University, US, Mental Health Victoria, and LLEW development expert Dr Louise Byrne.
The program is designed to revolutionise the integration of Lived and Living Experience Workforces (LLEW) within AOD and mental health organisations.
The organisations selected to participate in the first TLC cohort are:
- Alfred Health
- Anglicare
- Ballarat Community Health
- Better Health Network
- La Trobe Regional Health
- Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission
- Mind Australia
- Odyssey House Victoria
- St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne
- Wellways Australia
- Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS)
A second TLC cohort will commence in late 2025.
