We are continually working to develop & adapt our programs to meet the needs of more families & communities
Drug and alcohol use and gambling can have very different impacts and issues depending on location, culture and other factors. When it comes to response, one size does not fit all.
Family Drug & Gambling Help is working with a number of diverse communities and settings to explore and develop better ways to meet their needs.
The Muslim Youth, Adult & Families (MYAF) program
Based in Glenroy, MYAF was established to support individuals and families from the Islamic Community who are experiencing alcohol and drug related issues. MYAF offers help with counselling, youth support, education programs, support groups and referrals to other support services.
Family Drug & Gambling Help is part of the team, delivering our peer based model to support families.
Funded through the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), and comprises a partnership of Alcohol and Drug providers – Odyssey House Victoria (OHV), The Salvation Army, Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC) and Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS).
