Lived and living experience workforces forum a great success

Designed to bring together lived and living experience workers from across the mental health and AOD sectors, this innovative, cross-sectoral forum “Coming Together: shared conversations with the Lived and Living Experience Workforces in the mental health and AOD sectors” was originally envisioned and planned over two years ago. Postponed and delayed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was finally held online on Tuesday, 23 November.

With funding support from the Department of Health, and with SHARC as the lead organiser, the day was a great success. Over 220 registrants got to hear insightful presentations and participate in lively discussions on real issues that impact lived and living experience workers, both in consumer and family/carer workforces.

The forum has demonstrated the commonalities between the workforces and how working together is the key to achieving our shared goals and outcomes.

Key presentations have been recorded and will be available online soon.
